NAS Financial Considerations/Early Distributions

This tab provides information about the procedures established for early distributions to NAS Child Claimants. The Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) and accompanying video explain who may qualify, how a Legal Representative or Legal Proxy of a NAS Child Claimant may submit a request, and the fee deducted in connection with an application.  The links to the FAQs, Explanation Video and Early Advanced Distribution Request Form can all be found below.

Additionally, please find below links to FAQs regarding information addressing timing of payments and financial planning for NAS Claimants becoming adults.

EXPLANATION VIDEO

Claimants, Parents, and Legal Guardians are encouraged to review the FAQs and watch the accompanying video before contacting the NAS Trustee. These materials provide the fastest way to find answers to many common questions.

For questions about a specific Child’s Award, please contact the Child’s attorney directly.

The FAQs summarize important information but do not replace the Plan, the NAS PI TDP, the Order Respecting NAS Claimant Distributions, or any other order entered by the Bankruptcy Court. If there is any difference between the FAQs and the governing documents, the governing documents control.  All of these documents may be found on the Pleadings and Important Documents Tab of this website.
